I wanted to take a photo of Luzern train station that I hadn’t seen before and tried lot’s of different angles and shots. I finally settled for this photo which I took looking straight down the station, which luckily had just emptied, except for the one family left on the platform.

The Culture and Congress Centre in Luzern (or KKL for Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern) is a multi-functional building with a concert hall that is esteemed for its high-profile acoustics. It was built according to the plans of the architect Jean Nouvel and was inaugurated in 1998 with a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado.

 I wanted to take a few shots of the building from a different angle but hopefully still capture what the centre represents in Luzern. To me it’s about a place for people to enjoy various art forms and it’s an interesting building both inside and out .

You can see the massive flat roof structure from various points which overlook the lake.
